Continental Breakfast is served at the River City Cafe (Szylagyi Center).
Meet distinguished guest Dr. James Hill Craddock, University of Tennessee, noted Chestnut researcher, educator and writer.

The Sunday Festival begins at noon at the Rowlesburg Park, located alongside of the Cheat River.
Many vendors will be there showing wormy chestnut items, ranging from kitchenware collectables, picture frames, wood handle Damascus steel knives, small items of furniture.
Not to be missed is the free sampling or purchase of "roasted chestnuts on-the-grill." 
You also don't want to go home without purchasing a jar of sweet tasting local "mountaineer honey with chestnuts."
Chestnut saplings will be available for sale and children activities will include prizes for "throwing chestnuts in-the-well."

Rides will be provided by the Rowlesburg Area Historical Society to the Civil War Cannon Hill site, 800 feet above Rowlesburg, with a breathtaking view of the "big bend of the Cheat River' and surrounding mountains.

For those desiring a more intimate knowledge of the current research related to the re-birth of the almost extinct American Chestnut Tree, there will be a professional program hosted by aficionados and members of The American Chestnut Foundation (TACF).

The Sunday Festivities will be capped off with a gala Banquet Dinner featuring chestnut flavored dishes.
Shirley Cook Hartley, who has received praise for previous banquets, will again be Chair of Arrangements. Shirley begins the program with the popular toasting of "vino novelli and chestnuts" as a reminder of the gifts of the Fall harvests in Italy of chestnuts and grapes.
